Nathan "Nate" Taylor
Dr. Taylor grew up in Folsom and graduated from Folsom High School in 1983. He then
attended the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a B.S. in Bioengineering in
1988. He completed his M.D. at the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Columbia
University, New York, NY in 1996. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency in
2003 and his Hand Surgery Fellowship in 2004 at Columbia University Medical Center,
New York Presbyterian Hospital, NY, NY. He served over 20 years in the United States
Air Force from 1996 to 2016 as a Flight Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon, and Hand
Surgeon. His service included supporting the overseas military Operations Southern
Watch, Phoenix Scorpion II, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).
Dr. Taylor is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with an additional Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand, both from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has practiced surgery, hand surgery and orthopaedic surgery since 1996, with his sub-specialty being any surgery of the hand, wrist, and elbow. He treats pediatric and adult fractures, sports and soft tissue injuries, as well as any orthopaedic condition of the hand, wrist, and elbow.
Dr. Taylor has been married over 27 years to his wife Denise and they have 3 sons Jesse, Jonathan, and Joel. His outside interests include spending time with his family and fun sport and outdoor activities like basketball, running, biking, hiking, backpacking, and woodworking.
